Know what to check.
This electrical concept map links loads, current, cable checks, protection and project documentation. Select an idea to see its meaning and related tools.
US (NEC) only — local rules are not covered. A project’s jurisdiction may differ from the current location.
Start with the supply and load, then carry out the distinct cable and protection checks.
An agreed estimate can become an invoice after the scope is delivered. This diagram is a guide to relationships, not an installation sequence or approval.
Why the checks stay separate
Voltage drop, ampacity and fault withstand answer different questions. A result from one calculator does not establish the others. Protection coordination combines those checks with manufacturer data and the standard adopted for the project.
The motor and solar controls change the explanatory context and suggested tools. They do not calculate an approved design. Regional settings supply defaults and official references; they do not replace the installation’s actual conditions.
